Even though Erik is not a Mu, he is an Honorary Mu! Erik brings to the Foundation's BOD over six years of professional experience in higher education, specifically working with first-generation students. Erik began managing a college access and completion coaching program in Austin, and most recently played a big role in developing and implementing a program at UT-Austin. The UT-Austin program aims to support its undocumented students through the university's Division of Diversity and Community Engagement. More recently, Erik graduated with a master's degree in social work and finished a final practicum with the Austin Police Department. If you are in need of career coaching, feel free to reach out to him for a resume review or interview tips.
